What I Ate Wednesday #10

It’s been a few weeks since I’ve posted my Wednesday eats! Well, you haven’t missed much. Although I was on vacation, I maintained a very similar way of eating. There were a few splurges here and there but nothing too wild and crazy 😉
It’s been a while, so let me refresh your memory…

This is a #WIAW post. The idea of #WIAW is to photograph one day of meals each week, link up to the Peas and Crayons blog, and celebrate the wonderful world of eating (it is truly amazing, after all)! It also gives us the chance to find new recipes by seeing what everyone else eats! So, after reading my blog be sure to stop by peasandcrayons.com to check out what other people ate!!!

Breakfast
While I was in Pittsburgh, I learned a few very life changing things. One, mangoes are amazing…especially when they are nice and ripe. If you love sweet fruits, you must try a mango! Two, I learned that garlic powder and pepper are the perfect seasonings for fried eggs. Three, coffee tastes amazing in a Pitt mug. As you can see, I applied all three of these bits of knowledge to my breakfast 🙂

AM Snack
Nothing really new here. Rice cakes with almond butter and a banana! Still does the trick and tides me over until lunch.

Lunch

Chicken, Brussels sprouts, and a yam topped with Trader Joe’s Spinach and Kale Greek Yogurt dip!! Two things I must say about this meal: one, the dip is amazing and you need to stop by Trader Joe’s RIGHT NOW to try it. Two, my love of Brussels sprouts has returned. The secret is to pan fry them!

Add some Mrs. Dash and bam. Delicious.

Afternoon Snacks


Above is my protein oatmeal. I microwaved some oats with cashew milk and mixed in a scoop of pea protein and an apple. Yummy and protein packed! My sore legs have been begging for some protein after Monday’s killer routine (which I’ll share soon) 🙂

Dinner
Eat alllll the veggies!!!!! And yet another Trader Joe’s favorite: chili lime chicken burgers.

PM Snack

A big bowl of tastiness is how you should always end the night…Greek yogurt, cocoa powder, Cheerios, and blueberries 🙂

And my macros are looking pretty good! I always try to get more carbs since I’m a running and cardio junkie.

  1. Brussel sprouts are a weird one for me. I never make them myself and whenever they’re offered to me, I actually really enjoy one. Just one. Any more than that and I hate them. But I must admit: I keep seeing them roasted and so far I’ve only tried them cooked…I need to get on that comes winter!
