Bags are Packed

The family is off to San Diego tonight! I’ve had my bags packed for a whole day. Not like I’m excited or anything (I’m really excited).

The trip is for my sister’s soccer tournament. Sorry Lucy, but I can’t make it to your games. I’ll be too busy running around the city eating everything. (I’ve already looked up food places near the hotel, thanks yelp πŸ™‚ )

We get to go to SD next weekend too for my half! So basically I’m the happiest person in the world. That city is my favorite place EVER if you haven’t already figured it out.

Just a heads up: there are going to be tons of vacation pictures coming your way over the weekend. Brace yourselves πŸ™‚

Some other random highlights for today:

We had a “phiesta” in physics class (get it..PHiesta…lol @ Mr. Halpin) to celebrate the end of the year. For some reason I’m always the bagel provider at potlucks. I think it’s my love of carbs.

ItΒ gave me an excuse to grab a bagel sandwich and coffee before school. Einsteins coffee is one my faves. It definitely deserves its “Darn Good” label.
I then walked into a TP’ed school. What do you think: good senior prank or no?Β Us juniors have to figure out what our class’s prank is going to be next year (the thought of being a senior next year scares me. I can’t believe it)!

I received the honor of being selected for the Nevada All-State Academic Team! I was rewarded a scholar athlete patch for my letterman!

Perhaps the best reward was….

I mean, free smoothies are pretty awesome.

It’s that time of year again…yearbook time! I picked mine up yesterday. It turned out amazing! It’ll be interesting next year when I’m part of publications (the class that makes the yearbook). I’ll have to sneak in a few extra pics of me. Maybe even some foodie pics too πŸ˜‰
I got some good running pics this year (I look exhausted, what’s new).

I was really excited about this one though. They included a picture from my half marathon last summer! Heck yeah!

Now everyone will remember me as the kid who loves to run, which is exactly what I was aiming for πŸ˜‰

Last thing: I finally dug out my new Ravenna Brooks and broke them in a little bit! They are amazing, as usual. I’ve loved every pair of trainers I’ve gotten from Red Rock Running Company. My Vegas people: I HIGHLY recommend buying your running shoes from here!

TGIF, right?? I hope everyone has a great one. I’ll talk to you all tomorrow LIVE from San Diego!!

How about you?

  • Do you like your bagels plain or with cream cheese? (I actually prefer mine plain. I’m weird with my carbs.)
  • What was your senior class prank?
  • Going anywhere fun for Memorial Day Weekend?
  • Runners: Are any of you racing this weekend?

  1. Congrats on being selected for the Nevada All-State Athletic Team! And yay for a free smoothie!

I’ll also prefer plain bagels. I don’t want some gross cream cheese interfering with my carbs!

I really don’t remember what our senior prank was! It must not have been any good πŸ™‚
    Have a great weekend!

    1. Thanks! And yay, I’m not the only one πŸ˜‰ I’m that way with my pancakes too– no butter or syrup, just pancakes topped with tons of fruit for me πŸ™‚
You have a great long weekend as well!
