I’ve recently come across another link-up that I think is a perfect fit for me: What I Ate Wednesday! You know my obsession with food. I’ll gladly take any opportunity to talk about it on the blog ๐
ย The idea of #WIAW is to photograph one day of meals each week, link up to the Peas and Crayons blog, and celebrate the wonderful world of eating (it is truly amazing, after all)! It also gives us the chance to find new recipes by seeing what everyone else eats! So, after reading my blog be sure to stop byย peasandcrayons.comย to check out what other people ate!!
Who knows, maybe these link ups will force me to become more adventurous in my eating and stray from my repetitive food plan ๐
Day two of food talk, here we go! I promise I’ll switch it up tomorrow ๐ Here’s my day of eating (yesterday)…
Breakfast:ย
I know, I’m sorry. You’ve seen this same breakfast far too many times and might kill me if you see it again. It’s just such a tasty and nutritious meal! And it doesn’t take too long to prepare!
- Eggs
- Ezekiel Toast
- Banana and Almond Butter
- Coffee (not pictured)
School Snacks and Lunch:
- Cheerios
- Almonds
- Apple
- String cheese
- Carrots
- Celery
- Salad–Spinach, squash, broccoli, mushrooms, blueberries (pictured below)
- Quinoa w/ Olive Oil
- Banana
- Trader Joe’s Apple Banana Crusher
Dinner:
- Trader Joe’s Canned Atlantic Salmon
- Yam with Almond Butter
- Spinach Salad with Bell Peppers
Night Snack:
- Greek Yogurt with blueberries
- SkinnyPop
As you can see, I eat a ton! Especially yesterday since I logged lots of workouts. Gotta keep that body fueled for fitness!
Kind of reflecting on yesterday’s post: I’m doing a pretty good job at eating more veggies so far. Getting plenty of fruit was never an issue for me, it’s always the veggies that are a little bit more difficult. I’m going to start eating more nutrient filled salads like I did for lunch yesterday. It was delicious and included several healthy veggies!
So there you have it: Another day of Will’s eating. Very similar to a couple of weeks ago in my What I Eat Wednesday post, but I promise that I’ll try to become more adventurous for next week ๐
How about you?
- What’s the most exciting thing you ate today?
- What are some other awesome blog link-ups that you know of?
- Did you take my advice?? Including more veggies in your diet?? (Don’t you lie to me ๐ )
I’m also trying to include more veggies, but I am trying to incorporate slowly, so I can enjoy them, and the shift, without feeling like eating them is a chore! That greek yogurt, tho – onnomnom

It’s challenging for me to get my veggies in! I do like salads, but I don’t always have time to make one to bring to work (excuses, excuses!) I am trying to drink more juices with veggies in them, though!

I know right? Teeny tiny piece of cake or ginormous salad filled with veggies? The salad would win!

I love how all of the flavors mix together when I make it this way! It’s kind of like overnight oats ๐
