Wow. Fried my is brain.
That exam took everything out of me. I can’t even think straight! Having to read four essays and answer 55 questions in one hour, then write three full essays in two hours takes a lot out of you. So, I apologize in advance if this post makes no sense and defies every law of the English language 🙂
Enough about that horrific experience. I did something very bad yesterday. I committed a huge exercise sin and did four workouts in one day…
This was not intentional! I promise!! What ha-happened was I did my normal morning run (8 miles). When I got home, I saw a message from my former teacher who’s a BodyPump instructor. She told me she would be teaching Grit Cardio and 30 minutes of BodyPump to the volleyball team, and asked if I would like to practice my BP instructing. How could I pass up that opportunity?!
Side note: Grit Cardio is killer! It’s a 30 minute HIIT workout that burns major calories. I was huffing and puffing the whole time!
Anyways, I would’ve capped the workouts there, but I would feel guilty about not attending my regular Tuesday night BodyPump class. I love the instructor and wouldn’t want to insult anyone 🙂 So, I went, but lowered my weights a little bit.
Needless to say, there were a lot of calories in yesterday. I had to keep up with all of my activity! I treated myself to a protein shake from my gym’s juice bar. It tasted like an actual banana cream pie. YUM. Why don’t I have smoothies more often?!
Don’t yell at me, but I did BodyPump AGAIN this morning before school! I had promised my Grandma that we would have a gym date this morning before the test. (Yeah, my grandma is pretty beastly and goes to the gym!) Besides, it’s good preparation for next month when I’ll have to do the class 5 times in two days!
Luckily I had some caffeine to help me through.
After the AP exam, madre knew I needed to refuel from 4 hours of testing. She took me out to a healthy lunch at Rachel’s Kitchen, where I rediscovered my love of juices!
