To start off this Wacky Wednesday post, I have to rant about the ridiculous Vegas weather for just a moment.
Yesterday, I was almost 100% certain that the world was ending. We had a dust storm. Yep, you heard me correctly. A dust storm. Gotta love the desert. Here’s a picture of the sun: the sun should not look like this!
I guess I shouldn’t complain too much because all of the wind yesterday caused a drop in temperatures today. The high today was only 70 as opposed to 81 yesterday! Hopefully tomorrow morning will be perfect running weather for my 8 miler 🙂
I can’t wait until I live in San Diego one day so I can enjoy PERFECT weather all year round. Speaking of San Diego, the next Wacky Wednesday topic is COLLEGE. AGHHHH FUTURE.
My dream college is San Diego State. They have a highly rated athletic training program, and who wouldn’t want to live in that gorgeous city? The campus is awesome. Although I haven’t had an official tour (hopefully I will this summer), I did get to walk around the school this past summer.
The Chipotle and Starbucks in the student union are definitely contributing factors to my love of the school. I’m already mentally prepared to attend. Just one problem: I have to get in first!
I set up an appointment with my counselor today to discuss my competitiveness based on my SAT and GPA. SDSU has a fairly low acceptance rate (33%), but hopefully my scores will increase my chances.
In the meantime, other colleges have been stalking me. I wonder how much money they spend on advertising. College is such a wacky thing.
My wacky self went to BodyPump this morning even though I went last night. Getting up before the sun is one of my favorite things to do. It’s so peaceful out at 5:30!
I tried not to lower my weights (they don’t want you to lower your weights at training even though you do the class like 500 times) and did pretty good! I only lowered my back weight because ouch!
The potluck in journalism was 99.99% carbs. It was a wacky assemblage of food. Luckily I had some leftover turkey lasagna packed for lunch!
Last wacky thing of the day. I actually went home and started my homework right away! AND I am making some good progress on my research paper! Are you proud of me yet? 🙂 Homework is so much fun yayyyy.
I hope you had a wonderful and wacked out Wednesday!
