Happy Hump Day everyone! This week has just flown by, probably since its been so busy!
My schedule has been a constant rotation between school, home, and the gym. I usually have very little down time, but I would honestly have it no other way. I hate it when I have absolutely NOTHING to do. It just bores the heck out of me!
Last night I took my sister to her FIRST EVER BODYPUMP CLASS!! I got to finally show her what the class is all about and why I love it! She was a beast! She may have been the youngest in the class, but her form was great! Maybe she’ll follow in her big bro’s footsteps and become a Les Mills addict 😉
Two days in a row of the new release and my muscles are screaming at me! I thought about going again this morning, but I gotta listen to my body. I still have plenty of time to condition myself for training.
No running today, just HIIT and CxWorx. Depending on how I feel, I may go to BodyAttack too. I haven’t been to that class in a while, but I’m curious about the new release! BodyAttack is a high intensity cardio class. I don’t like it as much as BP, but it’s still an amazing workout!
Other than that, nothing’s really new or exciting in my life! (I doubt you consider AP test prep exciting. I’ll spare you the boredom 😉 ) So, I’m going to tell you about an app that I think everyone needs in their life! If you’ve ever talked to me in person, chances are I’ve brought it up: Fooducate!
Fooducate is an app that rates foods on an A-D scale (A being the highest grade, and D being the lowest).
It takes into account the ingredients, nutritional information, and processing of foods in order to give them a grade. It also provides an explanation of the grade and why some of the ingredients/processes are bad for you!
The app really helps you eat clean and avoid highly processed foods. It’s pretty eye opening. There are so many foods I used to eat that are really not good for you at all!
Sadly, my quest bars don’t fare well 😦 . I only have them in moderation now!
My almond butter is good to go though! I now have an excuse to eat an entire jar in one sitting 🙂
My food shopping habits have definitely changed since I’ve started using Fooducate. I try to only buy products that have A’s or B’s. Of course, I have lower graded food in moderation, but for the most part it has helped me eliminate junk from my diet!
Jump on the healthy bandwagon and download it now! It’s free on the App Store!
