My Addiction(s) and Taking the Next Step!!

I think I’ve become addicted to long runs. Trust me, once you start them you can’t stop! It’s the endorphins man!! Today’s run was 8 miles @ a 7:30ish pace.

Afterwards, a protein filled breakfast was in order. Here is some yolk porn for your enjoyment.

This morning was very productive. Well, if you consider scrolling through recipes and running stuff on Pinterest productive 🙂 But, I did get some AP Lang homework done. We were assigned to write our own parody to a song. Of course, I am writing one about running. It’s to “All you need is love” and it’s a masterpiece. I expect a record label soon 🙂

For lunch I made a Will’s Famous Turkey Burger Salad. It’s basically a salad with a turkey burger patty topped with everything in the fridge.

Later, my family went to my dad’s promotion ceremony. My dad is such an inspiration to me. Not only does he have a full time job, but he is also taking online classes to finish up his schooling. And he still manages to be an amazing father of two pretty awesome kids (I mean I turned out pretty good 😉) His hard work motivates me to pursue my goals!

On the way home addiction #2 was itching to be fed. I stopped by starbucks for an iced latte with coconut milk. If you buy a latte after 2pm from now until April 6, you get THREE bonus stars on your starbucks app! I’m only 1 Star away from my next award! Can you tell I’m addicted to Starbucks yet?

Caffeine was much needed to energize my 2nd consecutive day of BodyPump! I took the next step and signed up for instructor training last night! I know it will be tough, but I am so excited to challenge myself and become an instructor! Time to start getting myself conditioned!

I am feeling it after two days of BP, but I know the hard work will pay off. Tomorrow will be a much needed day off of running 🙂

How about you?

  • What is your addiction?
  • Starbucks drink order? (Mine is typically a regular iced coffee with coconut milk, but I got the latte today for my bonus stars 😁)
  • Who inspires you the most?

  1. You inspire me, Will. And right now I am becoming addicted to your blog. I’m anxious to hear more about your instructors training. There has been only 1 training in the past 10 years that was not an awesome experience. I’ll have to tell you about that one of these days.

    1. Son, thanks for the shout out. I appreciate the thought that I have inspired you some how. As far as addictions goes, my addiction is giving thought about how all your goals can be accomplished, if you continuously chase after your true potential.

For example: If your goal is to work towards completing your next 1/2 Marathon in under 30 mins., and you accomplish this, then your true potential will be calling you out, for another challenge. Consider how much we all can accomplish if we dream a little about what it is we want out of life, and sacrifice some effort to get there….Then start the process over again once we’ve made it. Those who can accomplish this, inspire me and have the ability to inslird others.

Vanilla Iced Latte is my drink…
