My name is Will Teel, and if there were such thing as a certified health freak, that would be me. I am 20 years old, and have worked in the fitness industry for three years now, although my obsession with health and wellness has lasted for much longer than that. In fact, I’m probably too obsessed (is there such a thing?).
My love for fitness began with long distance running at the start of high school. Through running, I lost all of my baby fat (which lingered all the way into Freshmen Year) and started to form a true appreciation for exercise. Pretty soon I was hooked and running in any half marathon I could find.
Running was amazing and helped me shed a lot of fat. But, this type of endurance training alone is no way to build muscle. Luckily, I soon discovered a program that I continue to love, Les Mills BODYPUMP. BODYPUMP is a 60 minute full body resistance workout. Throughout the duration of the class, light weights and high reps are used to create muscular fatigue. This REP EFFECT builds lean muscle and increases muscle endurance. I “drank the kool aid” and quickly began attending the class 2-3 times a week. Before long, I decided to take the next step in my health journey and became a certified BODYPUMP instructor.
Now I regularly teach group fitness classes at Las Vegas Athletic Clubs. Aside from BodyPump, I am also certified in Les Mills CxWorx and Les Mills BodyAttack. (Learn more about the Les Mills classes here).
Outside of the Les Mills scope, I also teach a number of freestyle classes including H.E.A.T by LVAC (High Energy Athletic Training), KettleBell, Sandbag Training, and HIIT.
Now that I have group fitness certifications under my belt, I am currently pursuing a personal training certification through ACE. I hope to offer personal and group training, as well as outdoor bootcamps, nutrition plans, and much more in the very near future. So, stay tuned!!
